This is the original single issued on the label the Insect Surfers were on back in DC. Recorded not long after David Arnson's move to California, it is an intriguing look into the formative new surf sound that the band would perfect.

This early formative version of the song shows promise, but really doesn't hint at what the band would become. It doesn't yet features those wonderful dueling Insect leads. The mix is drum-heavy-demo.

Spin is a much less melodic song than "Stingray," and perhaps more than any other, shows just how far the Insect Surfers have come. It's rhythmically interesting, and mixed in demo fashion.
